Medicine Wheel (Storefront Installation)London, Ontario
Visual Arts, Indigenous — Excursion
Artist Brenda Collins presents "Medicine Wheel":
“There is a teaching by many Indigenous nations that the medicine wheel is the circle of life and that all of creation is represented in this sacred symbol. This art work symbolizes the four seasons; morning to night; birth and old age; the seven directions; physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being; the four races of mankind; and the four sacred smudging medicines.”
*The London Arts Council thanks Hassan Law for generously giving storefront space and time to Culture Days!*
