Living for the Fame (Storefront Installation)London, Ontario
New/Digital Media , Visual Arts — Excursion
“Living For The Fame” is a drawing-based installation by artist Chris Ironside that explores the currency of gay images. The drawings that comprise “Living For The Fame” use, as their reference, images sourced from Instagram feeds and Grindr profile photos: images of men looking with the hope of being looked at.
*The London Arts Council thanks the Jack Richardson Music Awards Hall of Fame for generously giving storefront space and time to Culture Days!*
