Indigenous, Visual Arts — Collective Creation, Hands-On Activity
Come and join artist Melissa Stevenson in creating an ever changing memorial to honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. Participants will be invited to each paint a butterfly, which will become a part of this larger piece.
Participants from the Indigenous Family Centre's beading circle will also welcome guests to learn some basic beadwork, creating a beaded ribbon to wear in honour of MMIW.
Participants are invited to stay for a special Culture Days Bell Tower hosted by Aboriginal Youth Opportunities! at Powers Street and Selkirk Avenue.
