Visual Arts, Heritage — Hands-On Activity, Talks and Discussion
1) Oral presentation - Focus #1 - background information about J.W. Bengough's use of humour to amuse and instruct his readers in regards to political issues of Canada's early years. Focus #2 - background history of issues leading up to Confederation. 2) computer presentation, with a focus on the "Pacific Scandal" and Sir John A. MacDonald. 2) slide show of specific cartoons, with brief information regarding their relevance to Canadian History. 3) an artist will teach students and community members the skill of caricature drawing. 4) photographs of the day will be compiled into photo albums 5) J.W. Bengough's "Caricature History of Canadian Politics" will be on display to view, 5) Downtown Heritage Walking Tour 6) Coffee & Snacks

We are a small Town - all locations are easily found.
Bengough & District Museum
The Bengough & District Museum has been in existence since 1996. It was established to collect, preserve, interpret and exhibit the history for the Town & R.M. of Bengough, plus the surrounding community. Close to 100% of our collection is documented and given an accession number for easy tracking. We held Culture Days in 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2017 with the following activities: Dance/Music/Art Workshops, Crafts, Storytelling, Children's Activities, Cultural and Historical Displays, Tours, etc.
