Whitewood Culture Day - 2017

Whitewood Culture Day - 2017

Whitewood, Saskatchewan

Heritage — Talks and Discussion, Hands-On Activity

Culture Day 2017 in Whitewood will be designed to recreate life as it was 125 years ago. We will celebrate Canada 150 as well as the 125th birthday of the town of Whitewood. A collection of four trunks will be used to represent four 'new' residents to the community in 1892. Participants will take part in packing the trunks, discover how the new residents entertained themselves and take part in creating a Canada 150 mosaic. Storytellers will share their stories and the stories of their ancestors that settled here.
