Heritage, Crafts — Hands-On Activity, Collective Creation

The Allan Community Heritage Society and Museum is excited to host its annual Culture Day on Sept 29, 2017 from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm at the Allan Parkland Hall.

During the day hands on activities include:
1. Making Tissue Flowers
2. Making Wooden Boxes (assemble, sand and decorate)
3. Leather Working
4. Wool Carding
5. Gift Bag Decorating
6. Butter Churning
7. Braided Bread Making
8. Wood Working

Displays include:
1. Coffee and Tea Pots
2. Wood working tools and wooden items
3. Church photo display by Greg Raskoff
4. Paintings by Local Artists
5. Demonstration of Taps and Dies

This fun filled day is designed for people of all ages and interests. Everyone is welcome!

The Allan Community Heritage Society and Museum works to involve the people of Allan and surrounding community in the preservation and celebration of our own heritage through the collection and display of local artifacts and oral histories. The Allan Community Heritage Society and Museum organizes exhibits, educational presentations, research projects and other events both at the museum and throughout the community.
