Tree Teachings, presented by WAVE artist Rosemary Miguez, is an interactive presentation that explores the underlying importance of trees to our physical, emotional, and social lives. Participants will engage in a tree teaching activity designed to connect us to trees, to each other and to Canada as a our place on earth. Participants will create their own unique Word Tree work of art! Entertaining, interesting, and thoughtful - tree teachings will create a new way of looking at Our Canada, our community, our world.

Our Canada, a show of new themed works by The WAVE Interlake Artists of Manitoba, highlights the meaning of Canada to 23 artists from the beaches area of the east Interlake. Hosted by the New Icelandic Heritage Museum, this show brings together the history and creativity of the Interlake in a partnership designed to celebrate Canada--past, present, and future.
