Involuntary Painting: Photographs by Simone Hébert Allard
Involuntary Paintings by Simone Hébert Allard
I am a prospector panning for visual gold in the dusty city streets. Streets replete with “surfaces, objects, things that are not intended to be art, that through some process - time, decay, graffiti or some kind of abuse - have become 'involuntary paintings'”. The words coined by New York artist Millree Hughes and British poet, artist and musician Paul Terence Conneally threw the doors wide for me to explore a whole new photographic art form.
