Baroque & Bluegrass will present violin music from the 18th Century and modern Bluegrass music in concert performance. It will demonstrate the connections between the Country Fiddle and Bluegrass styles, and the European Baroque music. The violinist Cvetozar Vutev, his two sons Christo Vutev (Classical and acoustic guitar, harmonica, and vocals) and Ivan Vutev (piano, mandolin, violin, and vocals), known as Strio-V, will perform individually and all together solo and chamber music from the Baroque era. In the second half of the concert they will be joined by Anton Niedersteiner (string bass) for the performances of several famous Bluegrass songs and instrumental pieces.

Cvetozar Vutev is a Doctor of Musicology and Musical Arts, violin and viola player and teacher, choral and orchestra conductor, concertmaster of both Kamloops Symphony Orchestra and Symphony of the Kootenays, first violin player with the Okanagan Symphony, Music Director of both Vivace Chorale and Kamloops Brandenburg Orchestra, music instructor at Thompson Rivers University, member of Chamber Musicians of Kamloops.
