The SSNAP Parallel Art Show is a free exhibition showcasing the work of local Salt Spring artists. This show is running during the same month as the Salt Spring National Art Prize Finalists' exhibition. Artists featured in the Parallel Art Show will be in the gallery daily to meet the public and talk about their work. This show will demonstrate why Salt Spring Island is one of the premier arts communities in Canada. The exhibition is open 10am-5pm, Friday September 29 to Sunday October 22, at ArtSpring.

Salt Spring National Art Prize

The Salt Spring National Art Prize is an initiative of the Salt Spring Arts Council, which represents the arts for Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, known as one of Canada’s premier arts communities. This biennial event is now in its second year. The intent of SSNAP is to encourage artists whose practice demonstrates originality, quality, integrity and creativity—resulting in significant work with visual impact and depth of meaning.
