This one's only for registered non-profits, but it sounds to me like a good, quirky, unique opportunity to get a bit of extra cash for those of you with an organization: From March 1 to March 28, 2011, Community TechKnowledge is giving away 23 prizes (including $10,000 cash for 1st place) to non-profits of any size. The application process? All you have to do is submit an original 4- to 8-line poem that reflects your mission and work. (It'd be nice if you were to post a copy of your poem here in the comments area too!)
Your poem may be written by staff, clients and/or volunteers, as long as they are original. The guidelines don't specify but it sounds like entries must be in English, as none of the information is available in another language. An international panel of independent artists and producers will select the winners.
What can you win?
1st place: $10,000 USD, an original song inspired by your mission, and 2 First-Act guitars signed by Los Lonely Boys for you to auction off (to raise more money!)
2nd place: $5,000 USD.
Blogger's choice: $1,000 USD.
Tech grant: 20 available
