Just saw the advert in a local paper. Its too bad that the organizers of this event didn’t contact all of the cultural centres. We are just down the street from where the events will happen and were never informed. Our culturual centre is funded and run by people from the Middle East, and has been operating sucessfully for three years. Yet somehow groups like our own are often overlooked. We had planned to have a Middle Eastern Culture Day earlier in September but our key people were not available then. Perhaps next year those organizing this event could invite people who are already promoting their culture year round. (PS. in case your are wondering, my wife and I lived for 30 years in the Middle East, and are just volunteers at the centre.)

Burlington Public Library is hosting a Human Library on September 29 as part of Culture Days and we registered on the Culture Days site months ago…so we are participating too!

I photographed hikers on the trail, and in the bottom of the photo, behind a dogberry tree, a little person can be seen. He / she does not appear in any other photos. What it a fairy?
